Katie Bee Creative bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

My name is Katie Watson and I live in Southern California.  I'm married to a Navy Pilot so we have traveled the country coast to coast calling many different states our home. I am a Mom to 3 children and 2 cats. I am on the Design Team for Maya Road which I Love, Love, Love!! I love vintage anything and everything...I would rather rummage then organize and am just plain happy when I'm doing some form of art! I love mini books and altered projects and would describe my style as shabby chic mixed with thrift store randomness.

~Christmas Shopping~ Photo heavy

ALL of our Christmas shopping is being done via Internet this year.  We are almost done….the thing is that every year, we hold off on buying, trying to pay cash for as much as we can…and then at the LAST minute we end up charging most of it anyway, but by then it is last minute and the good deals are still there but the GOOD stuff is gone.

This year, we didn’t want to do that…I mean there isn’t magical cash that appears between Dec. 1st and Dec. 25th, we always end up charging it anyway, so this year we just went ahead and charged it early while the selection and deals were still good.

I love unique presents which is partially why I hand make a lot of my presents but this year I am going mild with the crafting…..less midnight crafting, more sleep and more enjoying the holiday instead of seeing it like a looming deadline.

I hate charging, it stresses me out big time.  In fact, I don’t even have a credit card in my name, just my debit card…..we have an emergency one in Derek’s name that we use for things that we need but can’t pay for..like car repairs etc….our credit card company just raised our interest rate also( heard this is pretty universal right now), which makes it that much more painful to charge.

But ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right?

We did get some great deals…………yes, we sure did.  Thought I would share a few with you today.  Who knows, maybe give you a few ideas…..and I guess keep my fingers crossed that my family continues to NOT read my blog.  They don’t think I am that interesting at all and I hope it stays that way until at least Dec. 25th.
